Swim, Swim & Relax

All the kiddos wanted to do was swim, swim and swim. We went from ocean swimming for hours right up to the hotel pool for an hour or so everyday! They were certainly fishes over there. They both had their own goggles and snorkel and were constantly looking for shells! We did a lot of walking and even hiked to Diamond Head. The kids made it up to the top even with the hot muggy weather! This was a family trip to remember. It was long overdue and we are already planning on our next!

Surprised!

Needless to say, the kids were ecstatic! They both thought we were teasing them -- and really thought we were just going to visit So. Cal. When they finally realized their actual destination -- after reading their boarding tickets that said "Honolulu" -- they were thrilled! We had so much fun!

Pink and White Polka-Dot-Toes

Sissy and I had to make one last stop before we headed out and the nail salon it was! I wish I was not too old for pink and white polk-a-dot toes! They will look great in flip flops!

And We're Off !

Well, the day is finally here ... we are packed and ready to go! The kids still think we are going down to southern California to play on the beaches for a week. Little do they know we are off to Hawaii! It has been a hard few months trying to keep this a secret from the kids! We have both slipped here and there mentioning Hawaii -- but they have not caught on, or so we think! It seems as if we have spent way more money getting stuff ready for vacation than the actual trip has cost us -- you know you always need enough pairs of chonies for everyone (no washer and dryer in a hotel room)! We are also trying not to pack too much, because we don't want to pay an extra $25.00 per bag! We cannot wait to be over there and enjoying the weather!

Pay Day!

Have you seen bigger smiles? Grandma Ginia got wind of the kids report cards ... and with that she said if they got straight A's she would pay them $100 each -- little did she know that she would have to run to the bank for 2 big ones! Bubba got straight A's all year and Sissy got the equivalent, just in different scoring. The kids were so thrilled and now have a new goal for the next school year, as Grandma said if they do that every year she will pay them! Thanks Grandma!!

Last Day of School

Well, another school year has come and gone! Where have the years gone by? We have one heading off to the big "Middle School" and he is so excited and one moving up to 3rd grade ~ and so big already! We are very proud parents and are trying to remember to treasure every moment that we are in!
